WHAT THIS CLASS IS:
An advanced acting class that meets once a week for four weeks. It focuses on in-depth scene study, and mastering techniques in the hands of great writing. It includes intermittent showcases and performances of the cumulative work done in class, and though the class is registered in four week sessions, students may participate in an ongoing fashion throughout the year.
WHAT WE WORK ON:
Bringing 10-12 minute scenes to Performance Level. The material we'll use for the scenes is chosen from Plays written after 1930.
WHAT WE INCLUDE:
**Meisner Technique Exercises, Improvisations, Particularizations, Voice work, Breath work, Fantasies, and other exercises towards the fulfillment of the scenes.
**Script Analysis: including in depth study and research of the Plays and their Writers.
**Relationship to the space with attention to the Actor's physicality, movement and how to stage a scene.
WHAT WE'LL PROVIDE:
A learning experience that brings artistic fulfillment, and an environment where you can grow in
creative joy!
